The Energy Companies Obligation (ECO) was introduced in early 2013 by the government and aims to help low-income households and low-income areas make energy efficient improvements to their homes.
Under ECO, it is the the big six and the smaller energy suppliers’ duty to help householders save on their energy bills and reduce carbon emissions.
